Nice

Today I did all sorts of errands. I got my passport ordered, I filed absentee at the court house for the November election, I took my earrings to a jewelry store to get them fixed, and I picked up my sister's inhaler. And in the process I met some very nice people. There is nothing that makes me happier than knowing that there are people in the world that will go out of their way to be kind to others. I try really hard to always be nice, but sometimes I feel like other people don't notice and don't care, today was the perfect day to restore my faith. I like to think that humans are inherently kind, that underneath all the cynicism and bitterness there is a person that wants to do good in the world. I don't think anyone ever intentionally does harm, they always mean well. However, some days it's really hard to keep up that optimism and days like today keep it all going. 

BTW I apologize for my absence from the blogging world, my computer had an unfortunate encounter with my stairwell so I had to wait for my new MacBookPro to make an appearance! It's so beautiful, I'm in love...
