SRT Quote of the Day

Two seniors and one junior arguing about the importance of having an ID that shows you're a senior...

Junior: Like an ID matters in the real world...

Senior 1: It does!

Senior 2: If you don't have this you're probably a terrorist.

Senior 1: And we don't want you in this country.

Senior 2: Yeah, forget about this classroom. We don't want you in this country.

So funny. Also my cooperating teacher threatened another senior that he was going to stand outside his future 2nd grade classroom and tell all the kids that he's a phony and can't teach cursive. "He's a liar! Don't believe his addition!"
As for my day, clearly so far, so good. Tony Bennett will be on campus to night to talk to our class. Should be interesting...

I am a vulgar child.

Um today pretty much sucked. First one of my students told me, "Miss G., don't you know we hate this class since Mr. So and So left?" "Um yeah, I definitely got that message." And then a professor told me that I had so much more poise and was so much more adult than I used to be. Um, what was I before? A vulgar child, apparently. I'm super tired of student teaching. Game over.

My middle school placement was so good. Seriously, super teacher over here. High school though, ugh, just ugh. The kids that are there to learn really like me, they're on board and answering questions and paying attention. But there are like 6 or 7 kids in each class that are just pissed off that I have the audacity to tell them to get their heads off their desk and pay attention. I am all sorts of ready for this to be over.

In other news, a few weeks ago Hermione and I saw Carrie Underwood in concert. So stinking good!! And check out the zoom on the camera! Some cute boy bought it for me, too bad I don't remember his name ...

About Me

My photo
I love pretty pictures and fashion, decorating and paper. I use Harry Potter pseudonyms for all of my friends because as of now they are skeptical of the blogging world. I expect when we grow and up and move away and have babies we will all have blogs because that seems to be the thing to do. And when that day comes I will laugh and gleefully answer all their questions about blogger, thankful that they can finally share in the obsession with me! And secretly, I will be very proud that my archives stretch back much farther then theirs. Pennies From Heaven is where I write everything. I put my favorite photographs there, my favorite fashions, thoughts, stories, and humorous conversations between Hermione and I.
